The purpose of the Baptist Theological Seminary is to prepare defenders of the Christian faith, Preachers of the Words of God and Missionary-Church Planters to proclaim the Gospel Message to all the people in South Asian countries particularly in the NE India.
To achieve this purpose, BTS aims at providing an academic excellence, and help the servants of God to prepare for the Ministry for which they are called. The ultimate goal is to educate men and women to be defenders of the faith, Preachers of the Word and Missionaries who are committed to God for particular service for which they recognize a need of through and depth Biblical studies.
Yet, BTS is more than an academic institution; it’s even more than a mere theoretical training institute. Baptist Theological Seminary is committed to finishing the work the early missionaries began. Our curriculum is Bible based, Christ centered, Mission and people oriented, through and in depth. Our instructors and guest preachers are the choicest of servants proven in the gospel ministry from India and abroad. The students take part weekly in evangelistic ministries reaching the lost and are given various ministry opportunities to help prepare them for the Lord’s work upon graduation. During their time of training they will get firsthand experience starting and building new ministries alongside veteran missionaries. Together, we can produce a new generation of leaders who are equipped to do the gospel works, our pioneer missionaries envisioned and make North East Indians an example for others around the world to follow. It is now time for North East evangelical Christians to take its place on the gospel stage of the world and make a difference. With our missions experience in over 10 countries, we can produce future missionaries and Church planters who are prepared to produce fruits on the fields. And BTS is a community of making Disciples of Christ from every tribes or nations to bring about a great transformation for the furtherance of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God here on earth.
